BOYLE ENTERPRISE CENTRE
Boyle Chamber of Commerce has applied for Planning Permission to Roscommon County Council for permission to construct an Enterprise Centre to be located at Cashelfinoge, Roscommon Road, Boyle, Co. Roscommon.
The site is part of the 40 acres recently purchased by Roscommon County Council which is zoned "Industrial". The Centre will comprise a two storey development consisting of four light industrial units, eight incubator office units and associated site work and services. The primary objective of the Centre is to act as an Incubation Centre for new business through to the provision of affordable work space. The development of the 2.4 acre site will also it is hoped stimulate development and the location of new business including foreign Direct Investment on the lands purchased by the County Council and in respect of which the County Council has already obtained permission for the development of serviced industrial sites granted under the Planning Acts and in particular Part 8 of the local Government Planning and Development Regulations 2001.
The project will be financed by the Chamber’s own funds realised from the weekly lotto draw, grant aid from different Agencies including Enterprise Ireland , and where necessary borrowing. The establishment of an Enterprise Centre in Boyle is something which the Chamber has been seeking to achieve for many years. The allocation of funding by Enterprise Ireland in recent years and the lodging of the application for planning represents real progress towards the achievement of this goal.
