Campaign to Promote Business in Boyle

A new adhesive sticker to promote and foster business in Boyle was launched on Wednesday last at Scoil na nAingeal Naofa. The idea for the promotion was the brainchild of the local Chamber of Commerce industrial sub committee who sent out details to all National Schools in the area last year requesting them to design a sticker that would create awareness and appreciation of the town among their colleagues and one that would encourage people to do business in Boyle. The result is a very colourful piece of art with the wording “Boyle is Great, Boyle is Fun, Boyle is Really Number One”. The winning entry came from an amalgamation of the designs of Claudia Mc Loughlin from Ballinameen and Katie Sutherland from Boyle.

Both young artists received a cheque for €75 each from Boyle Chamber president Jackie Valentine for their efforts. Speaking after the launch the recently elected President thanked the many schools who participated and said picking a winner was a hard task.

Over 1500 stickers were printed by The Printworks, Deerpark, Boyle and are being distributed throughout the local schools and through the Boyle Business Organistion.
